Costa Rican Church Needs Bus

Pastor Pablo Fernandez Abarca has formed a 15-member team to assist him with the church’s new evangelism campaign. The first two months of 2008 have been dedicated to pure mass evangelism in and around Pérez Zeledón. In January alone they have witnessed 15 new adult conversions and 10 new young people. Thirteen of these believers have committed to follow the Lord in water baptism in an upcoming service. In less than one year, this church has become an example to the city of Pérez Zeledón in evangelistic preaching and soul winning.

Because of their significant growth and the problem of transportation in their city, Pastor Fernandez needs your help to obtain a 66-passenger bus. There are numerous people in the surrounding areas who would attend the church’s services if they were not hindered by a lack of transportation. By federal law, the church is limited to recent year models in its purchase, which drives the cost up for the congregation. Recently, Brother Pablo found a 5-year-old Bluebird Bus for $16,000. Your contributions to this important project are greatly appreciated.
